Book Review: Simply Green – Giving

July 17, 2006

Danny Seo
A new book from Danny Seo (the eco-friendly Martha Stewart) called Simply Green – Giving: Create Beautiful and Organic Wrapping, Tags and Gifts from Everyday Materials. When I received the advance proof copy, I was immediately astonished at Danny’s huge imagination. This book is such a fun topic since gift giving is great place to spread the love of eco-friendliness to your friends and family who may consider eco-friendly means burlap and compost bins. Instead Danny Seo shows us the drama of recycled video tape (nice and black and it curls!), finds new ways to use up all our old CDs (make dumbells!), and uses leaves and grasses for nametags (my favorite!). There are many good ideas in this book, and I look forward to giving them to my friends and family in the months and years to come.
